Home is where the heart is: Challis Street

We bought this section in 2023. The original Mason and Wales home was built in the 1970s and lived in by the couple who built it until they sold to us. What we are doing on this site will give you an idea of what we do when the land has an existing house on it.

We believe in utilising the existing houses as much as possible, and the house on Challis Street is no exception. This house was fantastically designed, perfectly built and beautifully maintained. We want to see this house become a home to another lucky couple, so we are keeping it and just adding an ensuite to modernise the master bedroom.

The rest of this large section is being subdivided with three new houses being built (a standalone and a duplex). The standalone house will be a four-bedroom house with views down to the harbour. The duplex will have one two-bedroom and one 3-bedroom homes. Each house on this section will have off-street parking and a small garden.

We have Resource Consent for the subdivision of this section, the land has been cleared and we are now working with our builders and the DCC to get our Building Consents for the new houses finalised.
